Frequently Asked Questions

01

WHY SHOULD WE HAVE A DISCOVERY CALL?

Discovery calls are imperative as it allows us to talk about everything from your vision to investment to the process we will go through together, and it also allows us to see if we are a good fit for each other. Some people may think, “it’s just photos!”, but I know that if you’re here reading this, you know it’s so much more than that. Your working relationship with your wedding photographer is one of collaboration and trust, and there’s also so much information I’d love to share with you that can’t be done in a few lines through email.

02

DO YOU OFFER ALBUMS AND PRINTS?

Yes! I offer both albums and prints, and am delighted to be able to provide clients with high quality heirloom goods. The albums are produced by hand in New Zealand and are printed on lustre paper using traditional photo print methods that give your photos longevity (200 years worth!). Prints can be ordered from delivered galleries and are locally printed on archival quality paper; print boxes are made to order in house.

03

HOW MANY PHOTOS WILL BE DELIVERED?

While I firmly believe in quality over quantity, you can still expect quite a few images from your wedding. I tend to make a conservative estimate of 50 images per hour as things like travel and inclement weather can affect the total number of images delivered, but for a full 8 or 10 hour wedding, I typically deliver 600-800 edited images.

04

HOW LONG DO WE HAVE TO WAIT FOR OUR WEDDING GALLERY?

After your wedding, I will send you a sneak preview gallery in about a week. You can expect the full gallery of images 8-10 weeks from your wedding date. Please note that this time estimate is given in good faith!

05

HOW DO I KNOW HOW MANY HOURS OF COVERAGE I NEED?

The amount of coverage needed by a wedding photographer depends on the schedule of events for the day, but don’t fret – I’m here to help you plan that too. During our discovery call, we will discuss the timing of your ceremony, reception, and everything else that we might need to plan a seamless event where all you do is focus on the fun.

06

HOW WOULD YOU DESCRIBE YOUR STYLE?

I describe my photography style as clean, classic, and honest. I’m a believer in imagery that lasts while showcasing you and your partner in a way that has you exclaiming, “this is so us!” But don’t think clean and classic images mean we can’t have fun! I’m all about having a good time, and when you’re enjoying the process, it shows like happy sunbeams shining out of your face.

07

DO YOU TRAVEL FOR WEDDINGS?

Yes! I do travel! I’ve travelled across Canada to capture many a love story, and I also spend time in Thailand to photograph weddings. If you’re looking to travel and want me to capture your love story, let’s chat!
