We are sure you have seen and heard a lot about fairytale weddings in movies but have you ever heard about a real-life fairytale wedding? Lindsay & Daryl’s Kelowna wedding is the perfect example of such a one-of-a-kind celebration. These two lovebirds exchanged their vows in one of the most breathtaking winery venue in Kelowna and the whole setup resembled a magical scene straight from a classic romantic movie.
Capturing emotions and the many wonderful moments of nuptial celebrations is my favourite part of wedding photography! The couple decided to get ready at a private residence located on the grounds of the Summerhill Pyramid winery. The giggles, the smiles, and the hugs were great to capture on camera.
Lindsay chose to wear a beautiful pearl-white gown for her big day while Daryl stuck to a navy blue tux. The striking combination looked amazing!
The day dawned crisp and clear and it was beautiful underneath the azure blue sky. The sun shone brightly and created the perfect atmosphere for celebrating the special day. The first look is the modern tradition that can be extremely romantic. The beautiful wedding dress, new tuxedo, and the bright beam in the couple’s eyes after seeing each other are captured on this occasion. We chose Bertram Creek to capture their first look under the bright Okanagan sun.
But before Bertram Creek, for me, the most heartfelt moment of the whole wedding was seeing Lindsay presenting her dad with a brand new tie along with a quote expressing how much she loves and adores her father. I captured this dreamy moment and I would be lying if I said it didn’t steal our heart for the rest of the day.
Next came the best part of the whole Kelowna wedding, exchanging the vows and the first kiss as a married couple. Set against the view of the Okanagan, the couple looked so breathtakingly beautiful, and Summerhill Pyramid Winery was the perfect backdrop for their intimate gathering with rows and rows of grapes leading out to the view of the lake.
Lindsay & Daryl opted for a small intimate Kelowna wedding ceremony with close friends and family members. Both of their siblings served as the best man and the maid of honour, and the classic décor complimented the romantic celebrations.
The memorable event winded down with the couple sabering a bottle of Lindsay’s favourite sparkling wine, a cake cutting ceremony, and the first dance on the lawn as we watched the sunset.
It was undoubtedly one of my favourite Kelowna weddings to shoot to date. The beautiful blossoming flowers and rows of grapes, classic white table cloths, bright sun, and emotional speeches made the whole day extraordinarily special.
